Description
The property “Quinta Vista Mar do Arco” includes a set of one house and two studios – Loureiros Cottage, Cicas Studio, Sunset Studio – and has a large garden area, swimming pool, barbecue, car parking and other facilities.
The property is in a rural area near the village of Calheta, with a wide view of the sea and the surrounding farmland.
Cicas Studio is 40 m2 and comprises a double bed, a sofa bed, a kitchenette and a bathroom with shower.
The studio is an old building adapted for tourist accommodation but retain the authenticity of the mid-20th century rural houses.
It is equipped with a fridge, cooker, microwave and kitchenware, as well as bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, TV with international and children’s channels, and other amenities to provide a pleasant and relaxed stay.
LOCATION
The property is in a rural area near the village of Calheta, where there is a beach and many restaurants and cafes.
Calheta is located in the southwestern part of the island, which has the best weather conditions in Madeira.
A few kilometres away there are stunning cliffs, mountains and Laurissilva forest for nature lovers and hikers.
Nearby you can enjoy many outdoor activities such as hiking, paragliding, mountain biking, surfing, fishing and other nautical activities.
A small grocery shop and cafes are available within walking distance. Larger supermarkets and restaurants are available within few minutes’ drive.
The property has easy access to the major roads.
REMARKS
There is a small construction site to build houses on the land adjacent to the accommodation, which may cause noise and disturbance during the day on weekdays. If the purpose of the trip is to hike in the mountains and other activities, you will not be affected by the construction works. If you intend to stay mostly on the property, periods of disturbance may occur, although the noisiest phases of the work have already been completed.
We are available to provide support during your stay, to recommend places and activities you may like and to find solutions for your needs. We can recommend activities to discover the island off the usual tourist circuits.
A car is recommended, but there are bus stops nearby. You can install the smartphone app Rodoeste to see the bus lines and timetable.
Free car park is available in the property.
The garden, swimming pool, barbeque and parking are exclusive for the guests but are common for the three houses.
Swimming pool is not heated but is open all the year and can be used if the weather is favourable.
Cleaning is done before guests check in and then there is a weekly maintenance cleaning, which includes the change of bed linen and towels. To increase the frequency, an additional cleaning service must be requested.
As it is a rural area, there are insects in the surroundings that can be attracted by food scraps.
The accommodation is officially registered, meets the requirements to ensure safety and comfort, and has a complaints book controlled by the competent authorities.
CONDITIONS
1. Parties or behaviours that disturb the peace and well-being of the neighbours are not allowed, especially between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am when noise is forbidden.
2. An online check-in form will be sent to collect essential information for check-in and mandatory identification data of all foreign guests. This form has to be filled and submitted by the guest at least two days before arrival.
3. Guests must agree the check-in time at least two days before arrival. The waiting time for check-in is 60 minutes after the agreed time. After 60 minutes from the agreed time, a new time can be agreed according to our availability.
4. Guests must present identification document upon arrival and to fill an identification form if needed to comply with legal requirements.
